CJSW Celebrates 25 Years on the FM Dial
CJSW Radio 90.9 FM is kicking off a year-round celebration of their 25th anniversary on the FM dial with a huge shaker on Saturday, January 23rd at 7pm.
Over 25 Bands, 25 Bucks, 25 Years! Saturday, January 23rd!
For one night only and for the first time in campus history, CJSW will take over the entire building of MacEwan Hall on the University of Calgary campus for the biggest bash of the year. To celebrate 25 strong years on the FM dial, CJSW has invited some of the most beloved Calgary bands of the past and present to perform for Calgary’s biggest music fans.
CJSW proudly presents the following heroes of the local music scene reuniting for this one-night exclusive engagement, along with an exciting smattering of the city’s current talent. Artists will perform full sets that will be staggered throughout the evening in different spaces in MacEwan Hall, so fans can catch as much as they want!

Additionally, some of CJSW’s finest DJs — Rob Faust, Lotus Queen, Sideshow Sid and Leo C. — will be keeping the winter party toasty warm by spinning hot tracks and hot wax in the Black Lounge all night long.
While it will be a celebration of the music that has been played the loudest and proudest on 90.9 FM, the party will also be a reunion for many of the luminaries of the graduating punk rock classes of the ‘80s and ‘90s. Come meet the musicians who have made CJSW airwaves a blistering sonic adventure for the last 25 years.
