Calgary’s hit underground show, A Brush With Death, is back with a 300% bigger venue, and 20% more blood.
A Brush With Death is an eccentric oddity in today’s world of cookie-cutter entertainment: this bizarre stage show features a weird mix of comedy entertainment, creepy illusions, and dangerous stunts – all exclusively for adults.
The upcoming show is on April 28, coinciding with ‘halfway to Halloween’. The new show venue is at Burnswest Theatre, Fort Calgary, just steps away from one of Calgary’s most haunted locations, the Deane House. The Deane House has been the site of a number of unusual and violent deaths, including a murder/suicide in 1971.
“My performers are actually a little nervous about this venue. Playing roulette with kitchen knives is pretty harrowing, even without malevolent ghosts looking over your shoulder,” says Yeats.
