Rocker Girl Camp is on this summer! This camp is a unique experience for those interested in writing original music. It is for young ladies aged 12 – 17 who will receive top-notch instruction from working professional musicians from across the country in vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard and drums.  Part of their “Rock 101″ education includes sessions on songwriting, how a stage PA works, creating stage presence, how to build a press kit, marketing tools, and guest appearances from industry greats (previous years heard Ellen McIlwaine speak about her experience on the road with Jimi Hendrix, Heather Blush explain her songwriting style, and Anne Vriend speak about touring the festival circuit). There are scholarships available through the Lyvia Stoyke Foundation for two ladies who could not otherwise afford to go.

Camp is held July 2nd to 6th in Calgary and July 9th to 13th in Edmonton.
