Globalfest’s Human Rights Forums ep. 1
In this episode of CJSW Presents… segments of two taks given as part of Globalfest’s 2012 Human Rights Forum which took place at the Central Branch of the Calgary Public Library back in August. The first talk titled “Myths: Fact or Fiction – Debunking Common Myths of Aboriginal Issues” featured Dr. Marie Delorme, CEO of the Imagination Group of Companies and Christy Morgan, Acting Director for the Calgary Urban Aboriginal Initiative (CUAI). The talk was moderated by former mayor of the city of calgary, Al Duerr.
The second talk is titled “Aboriginal Post Secondary Education – A New Perspective” and featured talks from Dr. Leona Makokis, Retired President of Blue Quills First Nations College and Dr. Noella Steinhauer, Vice President of Education, Indspire.
