RAGE CAGE Playlist Sept 14/2012
It was a club week at U of C (where we are located), and I had a privilege of welcoming some of our new recruits. It was so cool to see such enthusiasm in getting involved, it reminded me of the time I joined … just 20 years ago! I remember after signing the membership, I was like, “Muhahahaaaaaa, I’m just one step closer to the world domination!” I could talk more about my earlier days, but I’ll save that for my 20th anniversary of the Cage in January of next year!
I could tell you this, though. Never imagined that I would be among those who’s been part of the CJSW for the longest time, alongside DJ Wah, Kevin Woron, Kerry Clarke, Paula F (of “Noise”), and Chad Saunders. Different shows, different music tastes, different personalities (and attitudes!), but what do we all have in common? Passion. Many of us are still here (keep in mind: we’re all volunteers!) because we simply LOVE what we do, and this station helped shape our lives in so many ways. I hope our new crews will feel the same way, stay stick around for a long time, and have lots of fun! And remember: anyone could join CJSW anytime of the year, and you don’t have to be an U of C student either. No previous experience necessary or needed, and if you’re into metal, you’re automatically my good friend! 
… Okay, enough corny thoughts. Last night, the madness once again started at midnight, for another 5 1/2 hour special, and we kept it loud, we kept it heavy, we kept it RAGIN’! Thanks for being part of the action. Remember: once a Cager, always a Cager!
