South Louisiana Gumbo
South Louisiana Gumbo
Hosted by Chef Wayne
Mondays from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Next Show: May 27, 2013 @ 7:00 pm

Chef Wayne serves up “une bonne louche” of Louisiana music — traditional and contemporary — and spices it up with music from Acadiana.  Gumbo draws from more than 20 different genres. You’ll hear jazz from 1917 to 2011, Cajun, Zydeco, blues, C&W, Rockabilly, R&B from the 1950s glory days to today’s rockin’ Atomic Pilot and Santeria, soul, funk, neo-soul, neofunk, hip-hop, brass bands from 1945 to today’s brass-hop Soul Rebels, ska-punk, reggae, and more. Add in some spicy playlist selections and the odd oddball and you’ve got it:  ’Une bonne louche de La Louisiane ‘ — a spicy ladle of Louisiana served over Chef Wayne’s ricey vocalizations. Bonsoir mes amis, bonsoir mon chérie, a la prochaine!
