Exploring the boundaries of jazz, Syncopation Nation is your Wednesday morning location for music from all over the map, literally.
Join host Liz Durden as she reaches the edges of jazz where it overlaps with funk, blues, salsa, soul, and occasionally hip-hop! Each week starts with Big Band, Dixieland, vocal or ensemble jazz and then branches toward the unexpected: from Croatian rap to Malian blues, afro-funk to Rai and other folk music from around the world.
Syncopation Nation aims to educate and entertain listeners through exposure to Canadian and International artists, with an emphasis on upbeat music to wake you from your morning slumber!
