All Good Funk Alliance Interview

April 15th, 2012

All Good Funk Alliance

About a week ago, I was lucky enough to have Frank Cueto from the All Good Funk Alliance come down to the studio for a quick interview before his show in Calgary.  What a guy, man!  Totally a pro, but also one of those really fun, colloquial dudes.  I distilled our interview down to a quick 15 minute file for your listening enjoyment!   These guys have been flying the funk flag longer than most and enjoyed some serious success.   It’s got some weird echoes in it, but bear with it, it gets better!

The Mix Up Blog Launch!

January 10th, 2012

Alright, alright!  So blogs are nothing new, and even the system we’ve created for DJs at CJSW to post on the website isn’t new, but I’ve been busy.  Ok, well not busy exactly, so much as afraid of new technology.  My New Year’s resolution was to properly utilize all the materials related to music and The Mix Up to promote the hell out of the show and provide a point of contact outside of just tuning in.  From now on, you’ll be able to download old archived shows one week after the release date complete with playlists, hook up with us on facebook or twitter @Bryson8bitNinja @CJSWMixUp, or find out about all the upcoming ticket giveaways and shows we be playin’!  Such is my NYE resolution, and I will try remain resolute in this resolve!   hehehe  The myspace isn’t done yet, I will keep you posted on that.

Stay tuned to this blog for all kinds of new and related Mix Up news.  =) Next blog post will follow shortly later this week.  For now, let’s hope this works…. SEND!
