Colin Allin Tribute

August 10th, 2011

The Spin Evolution is a mixed-block, theme-based show hosted by Joan Sarro that explores eras, influences, and the evolution of music. It airs every Monday from 10-11 PM. This episode is a Tribute to Colin Allin. Colin was a former Calgarian and extremely influential Calgary musician who’s life was recently taken in Nicaragua. He was in a number of bands including Skin Barn and Fresh Little Candies that were seminal to Calgary’s emerging punk and rock scene in the 1990s. Colin’s bandmates and friends, Lou Lowry, Brent Gough, and Craig Taborski, (and Irv from Vermont!) share stories about Colin and highlight the music he made and the music that shaped him. Join us as we pay tribute to this fine man.

A memorial page for Colin can be found on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/ColinAllin, and donations can be made to the Allin family to assist with medical expenses incurred in Nicaragua to CIBC account 07658-2366835.
