Jennie and Allison interview Susan Scott, an authour and advocate for homeless women in Canada, and Cindy, a formerly homeless woman. A few years ago Susan wrote the book All Our Sisters: Stories of Homeless Women in Canada. The book inspired the first national conference on homelessness and women in 2011, and it also inspired a new housing project for low income women in Calgary. Topics discussed in this interview include reasons why women become and stay homeless, specific dangers and issues homeless women face, and the services and tools needed to help keep women off the streets.
