Kick off the Summer with the joyously vibrant Sound Atlas New Music Festival, where whimsy meets the unexpected in this year’s Sonic Playground, June 27-29. Revel in spectacular performances that amuse and delight, and bask in the charming, daring, evocative and playfully sinful music of 50+ living composers in a veritable feast for curious ears and imagination! Sonic Playground brings together the best of contemporary classical music and leading artists, ensembles, and composers in our third annual new music festival.

This year, we are delighted to present the spirited genius of our featured Korean-American composer Juri Seo, a “modern original” whose music has been praised for its extraordinary charm and inventiveness. You can expect a wondrous and eclectic experience in music and sound, featuring performances from Sound Atlas Festival’s host ensemble Latitude 49, local Calgary performers, and guests from across North America and beyond in a joyful explosion of friendship and creativity.
