AI: The Most Dangerous Technology in History

AI, artificial intelligence, is an inflection point for humankind. Most people are uneasy about AI. In one poll, “Seventy-one percent of respondents said they thought AI posed a threat to humanity.” Right-wing pundit Matt Walsh says,” We’re sleepwalking into a dystopia that any rational person can see from miles away.” He adds, “Are we really just going to lie down and let AI take everything away from us?” Bernie Sanders warns, “There is a very real fear that in the not-too-distant future a superintelligent AI could replace human beings in controlling the planet.” But for the techbros and their corporations, AI is a gold mine. Who will speak for those who worry about the dangers AI poses and want to see it carefully regulated?
