Alter Ego Theatre presents the production of The Jay’s Wing based on Ivan Franko’s novella. The show will be in Ukrainian with English subtitles.

About the Show

At the heart of the story are Maria and Khoma (Massino). Maria is emotionally rich, vibrant, impulsive, and drawn to intense experiences and vivid personalities. Romantic by nature, she seeks to understand the world – and gradually comes into contact with its harsher realities. Khoma, by contrast, is restrained and rational, oriented toward order, predictability, and self-control. He avoids emotional excess and strives for stability and balance. They are drawn to one another, yet their different understandings of love, freedom, and responsibility turn this connection into a test – where every choice carries a cost.
