A small but significant part of CJSW’s community outreach strategy for the past two decades has been the presence of CJSW earplug machines at Calgary’s best live music venues. We know as much as anyone on how important it is to protect your hearing, and CJSW has been happy to work with our local live music presenters to offer this service.

However, CJSW has been charging the same $2 rate for earplugs for nearly twenty years in our machines. As such, CJSW has been selling them at a deficit in the past few years due to increased costs of both earplugs and capsules. 

To address this development, we have increased the price of our earplugs in our machines and for sale à la carte at our event outreach tables to $4 per unit. Our earplug machines will now only accept two $2 Canadian coins for a pair of CJSW earplugs…. $4 is still a complete bargain for protected hearing!

So next time you’re at a show, grab a pair of our earplugs, that include a case for future use, and enjoy that concert (and many other gigs to come!)
