The Jazz Nebula’s Quintet performs the music of jazz pianist Thelonious Monk, one of the most prolific composers in the history of jazz.

Thelonious Monk was an American jazz pianist and composer who is the second-most-recorded jazz composer after Duke Ellington. His compositions and improvisations feature dissonances and angular melodic twists and a highly percussive style of playing. Jazz Nebula’s Quintet, featuring Jon Day (piano), John Reid (saxophone, flute, and clarinet), Johnny Summers (trumpet), John Gray (bass), and Ed Batley (drums), will perform selections of Thelonius Monk’s music.

Doors open at 1 pm and the show begins at 2 pm.
