Every month, CJSW Radio puts out a monthly community newsletter!
Read on for news, charts, events, videos, and more great content!

Hello friend,

Did you know that CJSW has roots that extend back to 1955, pre-dating the University of Calgary? That is a full 30 years before CJSW became Calgary’s 9th station on the FM dial on January 15th, 1985. Appropriately, the first song played on CJSW as the campus and community voice of Calgary in 1985 was the Talking Heads’ “Once In A Lifetime“.

It was a long and laborious road to get CJSW from an abstract idea to a fully-functioning radio station. Since the beginning, CJSW has been propelled into the future by passion, love and creativity from those who contribute to our broadcast and those who listen and support what the station does 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

On behalf of all past and present CJSW volunteers, staff and partners, thank you for listening and supporting our remarkable radio station for the past 65 years. Here’s to years to come!

Yours,
Adam Kamis
Station Manager

Our very own Music Director, Hayley Muir, was selected as MD of the Month!
