Last Ark Out are a Vancouver-based, highly-versatile jazz-fusion-inspired quintet. They are in Alberta for a Banff Centre for the Arts residency and we are excited to welcome them to the Congress stage! Joining LAO will be David Lavoie Trio, which was created to explore the sounds of electronic valve instrument (EVI) with acoustic instruments in the jazz tradition. The trio features Jon May on drums, Adam Pettigrew on upright bass and David Lavoie on EVI and effects.
