Movie on The Rise

Returning for its 11th year on August 20, this free community event is a favourite amongst movie-goers, inviting attendees to kick back for a showing under the stars on the island’s elevated natural amphitheatre. The summer evening will include a double-header featuring nostalgic hits A Bug’s Life and 10 Things I Hate About You set against the backdrop of the Bow River and Calgary skyline. • By Foot: There is pedestrian access from East Village or Bridgeland via the George C. King Bridge.
• By Bike: Bike parking is available all over the island
