Went for a walk without my headphones t'other day. Was early, north of seven in the morning. Couple of cars scurrying around my particular corner of suburbia. Their sounds barely registering. My dog and I wear bells when we walk, because the coyotes respect the bells, and avoid us. Coyotes don't enjoy the peals and tones. But they know that we do, so they let us well alone. We wear our music as armour. The stylish kind, fur lined. Cozy. Not too heavy. Light as sound.
