What do you get when you combine two incredibly talented musicians to come together on one new project? On Episode 19, we explore that very concept as classical guitar virtuoso from Vancouver Island, Eric Bearclaw, teams up with the legendary, Juno award-winning producer for Vancouver Island, Rob The Viking!! Eric Bearclaw started playing guitar as a young teen and was in metal bands to begin his journey. He was already in his 20’s when he picked up the classical guitar and started technical training with Patrick Olmsted @gabriolaguitars - from there he recorded (in my opinion) a great album with his brother and some guests (Strains - available on all Streaming Platforms). But about 4 years ago, he reached out to the relatively newly opened studio @thechamberstudio spearheaded by the versatile Viking @robtheviking Rob the Viking is an accomplished producer, best known for his long standing and successful career as in-house producer for Canadian Legends, @SwollenMembers . Rob owns and operates The Chamber Studios on Vancouver Island now and takes on projects that span many genres and Eric Bearclaw’s project was a great opportunity to collaborate. Eric’s incredible guitar work coupled with Rob’s magic production touch has brought melodies into song in an amazing way. This is the type of instrumental album that never leaves you wanting vocals. It’s intricate and interesting. Modern and classic. Old World meets New World.
